Doug Henry will be competing at this year’s Aspen X Games in the Adaptive SnoCross race. After a year hiatus from the Games, the adaptive race is back and will be an amazing race to watch. Along with Doug, who is a paraplegic, there will be seven other racers either amputees or paraplegics all competing for the prestigious Gold Medal at X Games. Returning winner and friend of HEAL, Mike Schultz, will be returning as well aiming to make it a three-peat of gold for himself too. But, even though only one technically wins, all eight of these guys are on a level of athleticism and heart beyond that of many other athletes competing this coming weekend. They all show that anything is possible with true determination and passion.
It will be another great event added to the action packed weekend of Aspen X Games and look forward to watching Doug get back out there and show the world what he can do. Make sure to tune into ESPN on Sunday January, 27th between 2-6PM EST to watch the race. Good luck Doug and bring home the GOLD!
We will post an updated entry of Doug’s race as the weekend goes on.
